First, a Kenning from a suggestion by Dominic Berry of Animal Writes
THE CLOCK STRUCK FIVE
Town Hall
The clock struck five
When it was quarter to
That was just one of its faces
Of four
And a limerick for Mad Kane’s humour blog
GUILELESS & SWEET
A girl who seemed guileless and sweet
Wrote a note on a boat in the Fleet
‘Dear Captain…’ she penned
‘Our romance must end
First we meet, then you cheat… you’re dead meat…!’
And a bit of fun with words – It’s an Acrostic, reading down the page from the first letter of each line and reading back up the page from the last letter of each line. Also each line is an anagram of the title.
FOURTEENTH POST

Re the fount stop;

Enter ‘FOOT’; push ‘T’
…er, ‘F.T.’ to shut/open…
No… put fresh tote,
‘the post fortune’,
hot fortune pest!
Post, Teeth ‘n’ four
others… sent to P.F.U.
Spent to fret U… ho!

Fun verse! And thanks so much for participating in my latest Limerick-Off!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mad Kane; Dunno... just not like her...!
ReplyDeletePhew! Stan, you're a genius, an anagram on every line... 'hope of trust(dot)net' was the best I could come up with.
ReplyDeleteYou've been having fun! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks to:
ReplyDeleteAndy; Could't get any real fluency with it, so it's more just a list of anagrams.
Jinksy; Fun works for me!
Stan, three cheers for your effort, persistance and humour. Really good fun.
ReplyDeleteThanks Viv; I'm trying to keep it light in between the more serious stuff.
ReplyDeleteStan, agreed looks like you had loads of fun with those. You are a genius. Thanks for the smile this morning:)
ReplyDeletePamela
How'd you do that??? LOL, very clever Stan! And the limerick is a hoot! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks to:
ReplyDeletePamela; Putting a smile on someone's face always makes my day.
Gloria; I just had a few spare seconds... y'know...
Wow. Fourteenth. WOW! :)
