CIVILISATION
Don’t ever make the mistake
of thinking that you’ve chosen
an easier way of life
You know they’ll always make it
harder and harder to live
but not so easy to die
When it’s time to pack your bags
no fatted calf will await
the prodigal son’s return
Just a hammer and some nails
to attach you to this cross
they call Civilisation
Maybe we have to go to the cross before we can find that easier way of life.
