For Sunday Scribblings - Wonder
And Carry On Tuesday
“A thing of beauty is a joy forever”
And Monday Poetry Train Revisited
AUG 9, 2001
Newly born babes
Each a brown-skinned, black-haired cherub
In amongst them
Lay one that was quite different
From all the rest
Quite different in fact to any
I’d seen before
Obvious question; boy or girl?
Glad reply; boy
He wasn’t only beautiful
He was the most
Perfectly formed example of
Humanity
I had ever been privileged
To lay eyes on
Almighty God and Lord Buddha
Must have conspired
A joint-venture to deliver
This precious gift
Thing of beauty; joy forever
Awwwwww This is so cute and beautiful! The wonder of new life!
ReplyDeleteThanks GT; Definitely an experience I'll never forget.
ReplyDeleteYes, our own is always different somehow from all those other babies, and we have a special wonder. You have captured that feeling with a great tribute.
ReplyDeleteBabies inspire wonder. I've often wondered why God chose to give me one more perfect than the rest. IMHO. Every parent is entitled to believe theirs is more special than any other. You captured that feeling of wonder very well.
ReplyDeleteBabies are always a pleasure, a wonder to watch..
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely way for a conspiracy to play out...in a perfect baby. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteb

ReplyDeleteThanks Aayushi; You don't get to see perfection too often, but when you do, it stays with you.
ReplyDeleteThis makes me happy. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the conspiracy between Almighty God and Lord Buddha. Really enjoyed the poem's sense of wonder.

Julia; It allows us to breathe together the sweet air of happiness.
for most men, babies are not prescious, beautiful, cuddely,or perfectly formed until they are your own and then all above apply.
