Thanks G-Man; I enjoy writing and posting them.
ReplyDeleteYou said it SO WELL.
ReplyDeleteThe KINDEST AND ULTIMATE reward,
is DEATH.
EXCELLENT!
Have you a great weekend!
Did I ever tell you that Changnoi is such a talented and mature boy? You should be so proud. You have done very well, Papa!

shakira
Just like that! He was hit by a car? That's just weird.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking trampled by Water Buffalo, choked on sticky rice and chiles.
dang...we never know our time...so i imagine his reward is still coming...nice 55.
ReplyDeletemine is up!
Thanks to:
ReplyDeleteShakira; Death is the invitation to the reward... no? And Changnoi does make me proud. I don't think he realises just how clever he is.
Buzzard; He choked on the food as he saw the buffalo approaching, but was unaware of the car... How's that? :)
Brian; That's true!
Here one minute...gone the n---!!
ReplyDeleteLoved your 55.
Sunrise in the City ---as always, scroll down below my Show n Tell. Hope you're having a terrific Friday!!!
Speaks to the importance of living in the moment. The good deed was it's own reward--or this is what we say because no good deed goes unpunished!
ReplyDeleteSits at table and gets books out on Buddhism. Runs fingers over the lines and has a think as sips tea. Isn't a reward for goodness like being tied to the wheel of existence or something? Gives up and goes back to tea. Late for me, this week, what with work demanding I do what I'm paid to do. I mean, what a cheek. My 55 story here
ReplyDeleteI like this so much, this snapshot from a place apart. Very much. I LOVE elephant small and the idea of leaders, not followers, and the links for poetry. But back to your 55.
ReplyDeleteThis is life. Offerings in hand and the fateful step.
You know what? I think this is my favorite thus far.
Thanks.
Good thing that this is but one of many lifetimes for most of us. Good deeds can be rewarded and punished next time around, as well.
ReplyDeleteTight 55, mate.
I enjoyed this one. Took me on a journey to another place, far away and foreign. Made me think. Made me muse. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThanks to:
ReplyDeleteHootin Anni; Thats life... or death...
Sandy; Or maybe we're just naturally cynical.?
John; Yeah - pockets full of committment to show for that measly salary...
Yvonne; Hi, thanks for joining the gang - don't like that word 'followers'... 55 is fun, but also offers the chance to 'do' serious.
Titanium; One of many... or part of one... a broken link in the Memory Chain...?
5thsister; That's the kind of reaction I set out to provoke when I write. Thank you.
wow,
ReplyDeleteyou remind me of my time at countryside when I was young...
perfectly beautiful 55.
welcome,
