Yeah, I don't miss the whole corporal-punishment-in-school thing. At all.

ReplyDeleteOuch. Once had a teacher who waited outside the bathroom door with the paddle for the unsuspecting 5-yr old (me) who forgot to ask permission. Singing in the bathroom without a care in the world. I remember it clearly. This brought it back. No pain indeed. Good one!!!

Jarnebrand; I think modern teacers can do their job without it.
We had a raffle and you selected your punishment - ranged from the hairy walloper(hair brush!) to the board ruler( the six foot ones)etc. See if you can spot the lyrics in my 55 words

I never went to a school where there was corporal punishment. Just the thought of being grounded or other penalties my parents might impose kept me pretty much on the straight and narrow.
