POST IMPRESSIONIST, CLOISSONIST NaiSaiKu
Considered naïve
Never fully understood
Just another man
UNCOMPLICATED
Another just man
Fully understood, never
Considered naïve
No clear ambition?
Apathetic attitude?
BOLD FORM, DARK CONTOURS
An athletic aptitude
Ambition so clear
Condition chronic
Destined to die penniless
Pauper’s grave awaits
TWO SIDES TO EVERY STORY
Craves greater purpose
Destiny; endless blue sky
Iconic vision

nice. wonderful 55, both in form and in message.
ReplyDeletemy 55 is up!
Great balance, full circle encompasses so many; there are indeed two sides to every story. Well done!
ReplyDeleteMine is a juicy combo-pack this week- it is here and also, just because I couldn’t stop myself… also, here.
Ya never know Stan, there's always the Lottery!
ReplyDeleteExcellent 55 My Friend.
Thanks for this fine contribution, and thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End...G
Thanks to:
ReplyDeleteBrian; Perhaps you'd like to try NaiSaiKu?
Titanium; We're all misunderstood sometimes; perhaps artists more so.
G-Man; There's chance and there's no chance - then there's the Lottery!
I have no problem with the idea of dying penniless. The few things I still want can't be bought anyway.
ReplyDeleteSomeone wise once said to me, "If money will fix it, you don't have a problem."
And yes, we're all frequently misunderstood.
Thanks Mojo; Dying penniless no problem for me either - living penniless...
ReplyDeleteIf money will fix it, it CAN be fixed, sure.
I don't want to die penniless.
ReplyDeleteThanks Changnoi; You can't take it with you.

ReplyDeleteThanks Anthony; Of course, if you spend it while alive, there's nothing to leave your loved ones.
ReplyDeleteYou do write awesome, NaiSaiKu don't you, Stan?
ReplyDeleteAh.. to die penniless.. what a dreadful idea.
You cannot bring it with you , still not to die penniless, correct?
I love your 55!
Happy Easter!
Mine is here
hugs
shakira
Thanks Shakira; A legacy is important - even if it doesn't include money.
ReplyDeleteClever form. Got me rushing to find out what Cloisonnist whatchamacallit was as I be, as I can see, a mere rustic. My story is here
ReplyDeleteThanks John; I was unfamiliar with the term until fairly recently too.
ReplyDeleteWhen you die, being penniless is okay...you can't take it with you.
ReplyDeleteThis was excellent...in so little words you've painted a picture that speaks a 1000 fold!!
Mine is posted HERE. As always, scroll down below my Friday Show n Tell to find my 55.
Have a great holiday weekend.
Two sides to every story, yes, there's so much more than meets the eye. I remember studying the post impressionist painters in year twelve. Certainly a lot more bold form and dark contours than the impressionists.
ReplyDeleteVery creative.. love the bold passages.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
My 55 is up
Ah, the polarization - two sides to every story. Well done with this.
ReplyDeleteMy 55 is <a href="http://www.inthe.am/story/50/A_School_Bus_Joke_-_Friday_Flash_Fiction_55>here</a> if you'd like to read.
This was a true pleasure to read. Awesome job.
ReplyDeleteI’m up right HERE
Thanks to:
ReplyDeleteAnni; It was inspired by another genius.
Peter; I never studied art - but I know what I like ;)
Vodka Logic; it's a form called NaiSaiKu.
Greg; Whatever the history books say, there's always another opinion.
Susan; I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Hi Stan, You've got me thinking about Hiva Oa, Nicola would like this too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Andy; After your Gauguin post I just got to thinkihg and came up with this.
ReplyDeleteVery well done Stan. My brain does not seem able to create good three line reverse poetry.
ReplyDeleteThanks Buzzard; Try it out - let others be the judge.
ReplyDeleteI love the way these tie and knot, ravel and run! The hardest part is to be penniless and live on. :) Provocative post!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tumblewords; Getting there is easy... $-$ ... (if you have any to start with).
ReplyDeleteI would like to wish you and your family
ReplyDeleteMany Easter Blessings and have you a great Easter!
hugs
shakira
Thanks Shakira; Happy Easter to you too.
