NO MASK REQUIRED
Within the mask – deception
Without the mask – yet more lies
It can often be that way
As we live - and learn to hide

Sometimes I honestly think
The wisest person I know
Is my two year old daughter...

The light that pours out of her
Is a golden glow – so pure…
Free of adulterated
Artificial influence…
Telling nothing but the truth

Telling nothing but the truth

ReplyDeletea sort of family language
Thanks Lucychili; Kids; innocence; honesty; understanding.
ReplyDeleteLovely. Especially the closing lines.
ReplyDeleteThanks Aayushi; Small kids just have a way of making sense and making themselves understood.
ReplyDeleteKids are so innocent. Until they learn to hide things they have nothing to hide. Most times learning deception is very painful (mine was). After the later lessons comes deception and the mask.
ReplyDeleteI like this Stan. And, you have cute kids. Your mask is special too.
..
Thanks Jim; I'll enjoy the innocence while it lasts...
ReplyDeleteYour daughter so sweet. No mask is needed for kids.
ReplyDeleterosy mask
Thanks Gautami; Clearly, she takes after her mother... ;)
ReplyDeleteeveryday is day of discovery between the two of you :-) Thai and Eng and it's the bond between you that is more important.. more important than verbal expression

Sandy; She knows, and she's learning at an incredible rate.
This is nice, and something I hope you save to show her when she is twenty.
ReplyDeletelovely piece for mask. Your daughter is sweet as can be and there are many ways to understand one another. the innocent need no masks, but then again do any of us?
ReplyDeleteThanks to:
ReplyDeleteFourwinds; I'll certainly do that.
Tammie; A bit of a chicken/egg one that, although we know the mask wasn't first - but who started it...?
This was beautiful as are the pictures. Oh to be maskless like little children are able to be.
ReplyDeleteThanks Patti; Enjoying it while it lasts.
ReplyDeleteYour daughter is beautiful. We can learn (to unlearn) so much from our children.
ReplyDeleteMade me think of Picasso learning to paint classically only to see things again as a child.
