SINGING

For Carry On Tuesday
"A song is but a little thing,
And yet, what joy it is to sing!"

TONE DEAF

A song is but a little thing,
And yet, what joy it is to sing!
At least for those who have a voice
But what of those who have no choice?

We nod our heads, whistle along
Tap to the rhythm of the song
But singing is not in my power
I don’t even sing in the shower!

  1. Lol! But you should definitely try singing in the shower sometime, because it really is a joy! I am totally tone deaf, still I don't stop singing, with no concern at all for the people around me!

  9. I find that singing in the car is quite satisfying, more than singing in the shower.

  17. The song doesn't have to be sung with your voice, just your spirit.

  18. Thanks Carina. I listen to a lot of music, and in my imagination I can sing as well as anyone, but...

  21. Awwww. You should sing, just because.

I can't imagine not singing... your words made me smile and be grateful... and it seems there are several tone deaf people "singing along" today!

  23. Nice rhyme.A good voice or not I believe if you love to sing go ahead, there needn't be any audience. All the same you are doing something what you love and that brings in a lot of joy.

  24. Thanks Ariel. I tried it once when I thought no one was listening. I was overheard - my voice was so bad, everyone thouht I was talking to myself.

  27. Is still fun, just singing. And the shower covers a multitude of sins, song wise. Your poems always bring a smile.

  28. Thanks Melissa; In that case, I'll just let my written words do the singing.
