For Big Tent Poetry
And One Single Impression - Love
APHRODISIAC EYES
Beautiful vision
Golden sunbeams backlight hair
Soft halo framing face
Enchanting me
She’s looking my way
Through aphrodisiac eyes
Subliminal signals
Arousing me
Closer to me now
Stimulating sweet desires
Exploiting weaknesses
Seducing me
Hers, a love supreme
Heaven sent; a Greek Goddess
On a divine mission
To fulfil me
Passion fruit princess
Leads me to the Promised Land
Lifelong summer of love
To complete me
I am pleased that you found happiness with the passionfruit princess in the land of the long summers and smiles...Boy Stan, you're a bit of a lucky bugger aren't you?
ReplyDeleteThanks Rall; Come to think of it...
ReplyDeleteIf you haven't disappeared to the seduction couch, Stan, I love your poem. Soooo romantic, specially the first three stanzas.

Wow - I'm so used to your fiery politics that this was a suprise...a very tender and vulnerable side to you. Really liked "aphrodisiac eyes," and the subliminal signals. Read right, they're better than any aphrodisiac.
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda; I must have got carried away by the UK General Election.
ReplyDeleteRomantic & loving. If it's autobiographical you are a lucky man -- if not, you've created a longed-for relationship.
ReplyDeleteYou had me with blacklight hair...blacklights were the rage when I was awakening sexually. Had my own summer of love going on...thanks for evoking memories. :)
ReplyDeletePassion fruit princess
ReplyDeleteLeads me to the Promised Land
Engaging read! Promised land conjures Gates of Paradise imagery. It's only half a step from the romantic to the erotic. Nice.
i like "exploiting weaknesses" -- it implies an intimacy and a playfulness in this context.
