NAPOWRIMO 2013 # 16

DEEP

Don't say my plan is to mislead you.
The day you can, then yes indeed, you
must report my action; be abrupt.
Distort, augment, but never corrupt.

Whatever occurs is for the best.
Don't rest until your duty is done.
The beauty is, you'll find it becomes
some kind of mental merry-go-round...

All very profound... Don't you agree...?

  1. That mental merry-go-round is a curse.

With all the insanity in the world, it's reassuring to know your poem will be here first thing in my morning. Thanks, Stan.

  3. If we could only solve all our problems with rhymes instead of crimes...

  4. I'd say yes too, but was never much good as part of a chorus. Like the enjambment you used in the first verse, and that last line makes me grin,
