GROWING OLD, TALKING ITALIAN

For Naisaiku Challenge?
And The American Sandwich
And Poetry On Wednesday
And Carry On Tuesday
When you are old and gray and full of sleep

POW NaiSaiKu

Italiano:
È l’ultimo bacio
ARRIVEDERCI?
Is (this) the last kiss goodbye
In Italian?

COT NaiSaiKu

When you are ninety
Old and gray and full of sleep
Will you remember
GROWING ANCIENT GRACEFULLY
Will you remember
Young and blonde and full of life
When you are ninety

AMERICAN SANDWICH – BILL’S BULL

Interviewer: What would you say is your lifetime’s greatest achievement?
Candidate: That has to be teaching myself to speak Italian.
Luckily for Bill, Mr. Paradorn only spoke Thai and English..

  5. My son is only four, and he remembers things from when he was barely two. This amazes me. But really, why should it, it was merely two years back for him?

How a ninety year old would remember young and blonde...now THAT is amazing.

  9. I find it so wonderfully funny to take Yeats and make light with him. I think he would approve wholeheartedly.

And Italian gets me, each time. :-)

Julie; Any interpretation is a form of flattery.

  12. alas I never Knew a young blond well enough to remeber but maybe a brunette or two. I think when you reach 90 it is easy to remember the youthful years. It's yesterday that is a problem

  13. Thanjs GSB; I'm only half way there and yesterday is a problem for me... but the guys I was drinking with last night will remind me soon enough...!

  14. Always enjoy your humour. Haven't been by in awhile. I really like the elephant. And the Italian and kisses, and yes, hope to remember both when 90 if it should ever happen to occur.
