For Friday Flash 55
Now that Songkhran is over
and the water’s all dried up,
we’ll make today, tomorrow,
two days of beun bang fai –
(home-made fireworks; sky rockets,
and a good omen for rain).
Two metres of blue plastic
Waste-pipe, filled with gunpowder,
strapped to lengths of bamboo cane.
Loving the photos to go with your 55! Nice job.ReplyDelete
I'm up (with a few extra words):

Your description made it feel like I was there. I pictured the whistling rocket. The ooo's and ahh's of the crowd. Happy sounds all. You made it come to life. My 55 is HERE .ReplyDelete
The photos go so nicely with your 55ReplyDelete
Great photos, and enjoyed reading about the event. The rockets look cool all wrapped in blue. Fireworks have been banned in Australia now :(ReplyDelete
Thanks to everyone for visiting and commenting. Beung Ban Fai is a major (fun) distraction, but I will visit and comment on as many as possible.ReplyDelete
I hope the rain comes!ReplyDelete
