TIME WARP
As April approaches
On the dark horizon
A gift is presented
To see us through summer
The gift of Time Travel
Is ours for the taking
A concept we all grasp
In both hands each year
In the space of an hour
In a time without space
While we’re in our beds sleeping
It creeps up behind us
We all become caught up
In this phenomenon’s spell
That lights up the darkness
And warms our cold hearts
Till the curse of October
That’s uttered in Greenwich
Returns us to mean time
Which means long dark cold nights
Mean time in both senses of the word. Playing with time to suit just a few industries seems absurd while farmers rise as normal as animals don't wear watches.
