For We Write Poems - Take it to the limits

INTO MY MIND

I’m going
Into my head
To see if it’s true
What they said about
No bread and half a loaf
Both not the full shilling
But the thing that’s nearly
Killing me
The thing I’m
Really dying to know
Trying to be
Oh so sure of
And not just so by the law of
Averages
Is this:

What exactly is the score?

Now
I’m not the sharpest tool
But I’m not a fool
Or am I?
Can I be less
Serious?
Clearly this is more the case:
No empty space between your ears
May not be
All that it appears
A full loaf only half baked
Make no mistake
Believe you me
Is gonna be
Most detri…
…Mental…!

So you see it’s not true
What they said…

…Now I’m going
Out of my head

OUT OF MY MIND

  15. Okay Stan lay off the vine shake and Mekong Whiskey. It is a dangerous journey for one to enter their own mind. It is an aporia travail. However, you did pop out the other side of,
er a.....sanity. I enjoyed the trip with you.
    Regards,
    Don

  21. Hey, Stan (and Mr. W.), at least I have a diagnosis, ha ha ha. This was very cool, free-form and quirky. Loved it! Amy
(and the diagnosis is bipolar with a little touch of PTSD for kicks.)
