They do come in a great many forms.

Thank you Stan for sharing images from your part of the world. I visited Bangkok in 1987. (Twas in another lifetime...) Great Pictures...love the saffron robes.
Thanks Sylvia; Uniforms for work, rest and play.
Thanks Brenda; Parts of the city have changed a lot since '87.
That is what you can see in the Philippines too. Even if you are working at a government or private office they all wear uniforms which I do like it. ABC Wednesday~U
Really appreciate all the different styles and meanings to uniforms. Perfect choice for the letter U.
Thanks to:Kim; Uniforms are a kind of status symbol, that people here respect.Photowannabe; I tried to show how thet don't make everyone look the same.
There's nothing uniform about uniforms. Great U!
Thanks Tumblewords; Some look good, but i prefer casual; civvies.
you should see my daughter's costume for ballet; fun post.ROG, ABC Wednesday
Thanks Roger; Costumes are uniforms too.
Uniforms are useful in a way. It makes one part of a group, but it depends what sort of group it is. Sometimes it's a means of oppression and humiliation, like the clothes prisoners have to wear. I am sure that the uniforms you showed are more used for practical reasons. I like the colourful dresses of the women in the third photo!
Thanks Wil; That's a good point.
Thanks Jingle; Some more than others.
