For Carry On Tuesday
'Life is a ticket to
The greatest show on earth'
DO THIS ZOMBIE A FAVOUR
One over the eight last night
One guaranteed consequence
Sunday morning hangover
Grating Turbo ‘new-toy’ growl
With deafening ‘Dixieland’
Klaxon blast, wakes the un-dead
I turn over in my grave
Like a bear with a sore head
I grrrind my teeth; grrrunt and grrroan
Blinding curtain-crack half-light
Exposes clouds, sets the mood
Scowling sky; wild, wet week end
Unfriendly neighbourhood noise
Suburban sound bite samples
Barking dogs; boys banging doors
Next door’s new disc, noisy din
TV tuned in, turned up (((LOUD)))
Jackpot wind-up, ‘Win, Win, Win!!!’
Last night’s Numbers Game result
No Lottery joy for me
Chaos builds up in layers
Spreads thick icing on the cake
…And for the Cherry On Top
…I was due in work today…!
Over and over again
I repeat for all I’m worth
‘LIFE IS the winning TICKET
TO THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH’
‘LIFE IS the winning TICKET
TO THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH’
LIFE IS A TICKET
TO THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH
Choose it… if you can
Life is a ticket
To the greatest show on earth
Everyone’s welcome
IT DOESN’T START AT FORTY
Welcome everyone
To the greatest show on earth
LIFE is your ticket
Love the Naisaiku at the end, as well as:

Wow! This indeed was a ticket to one of the greatest shows...lol. I liked the twist you gave to the line-life is the 'winning' ticket.isn't that true, isn't life worthy of living?

All the groanings and growlings are just as much a part of life as the laughter. Thanks for saying it so well.
