WORDLE #186

For Sunday Whirl:

SEPIA

Those night time terrors visit;
induce thoughts of suicide.
Wise old owl perches on the prow
of a crossroads in your life.

Mud slingers build momentum
as their fervor starts to swell.
Birds fly south to fill their mouths
after empires rose and fell.

Now remove that crown of thorns;
lose the thread that leads to pain.
Tungsten light that burns so bright,
casts a crocus stamen stain...

  1. Rise up and remove our crown of thorns.. reminds me of Johnny Cash singing 'Hurt'...but a less depressing message...and mighty fine verse
