LOW PROFILE
In the words of the prophets...
"Stealing the limelight is wrong"
"Patience is a virtue" and
"Discipline is paramount"
But of course there are limits
Gazing into space all day
Can reduce a man to tears
Fly in the ointment follows
(Sublime to ridiculous)...
"My head is in pieces now..."
Not a heroic moment!
A clever wordle containing the inevitable let down of life.
ReplyDeleteThat's just the way it is...
DeleteIt is hard trying to be perfect. Probably better to stay as I am following that low profile of yours.
ReplyDeleteYou know it makes sense... :)
DeleteHa, thinking about stealing the limelight, the Academy Awards are tonight.....perhaps someone should advise. I enjoyed your wordle.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary :)
DeleteThe stealing of lime-light ... terrific inspiration by the words. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks DKP :)
DeleteYou start with the prophets and end with un-heroes or anti-heroes, or whatever they are. I think I'm more in the latter category than in the former, as, I suspect, are most of us!
ReplyDeleteWhirling Glimpses
Most of me... most of the time... :)
DeleteGazing into the middle world certainly has it's limits..thank you for following also..
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure :)
Deletenice one. Low profile is usually the best solution... but I think you had a heroic go at the wordle and came up with something cool.
ReplyDeleteYou're too kind...
DeleteThanks for your visits. I fear the battle is still a long way off.
ReplyDeleteFlies can be sticky little bugs.
Defining what a hero is and is not - should not the place of the media. I think we are all heroes to someone.
I hope so...
DeleteI enjoyed this, especially the poetic license.on.the prophets
ReplyDeleteWe can all be prophets!
DeleteA clever take, using the words in unexpected ways. Nice!
ReplyDeleteBut you always have to expect the unexpected...
DeleteLove it Stan. :) Mainly because my head's in pieces all the time!
ReplyDeleteI'm not on my own then...
DeleteExcellently wordled Stan! Wisdom in compact verse! Thank you for visiting my blog as well! I appreciate you comments.
ReplyDeleteThanks Peggy :)
DeleteSometimes it's hard to live up to those prophets words! Enjoyed your take on the words!
ReplyDeleteNice one Robyn...
DeleteDiscipline, misdirected, will indeed end in tears. We would all do well to remember this.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ann :)
DeleteJust had to re-activate word verification... Too many Ukrainian spammers...
ReplyDeleteA sad tale, Stan. Excellent use of the word "heroic", which I found impossible to use. In fact, I found the words particularly difficult this week. But you have written a seamless poem here.
ReplyDeletePamela
Thanks Pamela :)
Deletecool use of the wordle, although feels like it is hitting a little close to home...i tend to ignore the prophets.
ReplyDeleteThanks Heidi :)
DeleteMaybe we are all parts and pieces of things we are and what we wish we were. Liked this!
