A QUICK ONE
Formerly blessed with beauty,
now caught in that snare called 'age'.
'Bingo wings' unbalance her
when she takes him for a ride,
giving him what he deserves...
A bit of slap and tickle!
She gasps... once in a blue moon.
Has to be first past the post.
It's over in an instant,
and he can't see her for dust...!
Haha - thanks for the smiles - Nice way to go back to sleep! Good fun - Mhmmmm will carry this into sleep :)
ReplyDeleteSweet dreams... :)
DeleteStan, this brought a giggle to your slap and tickle. Slap is the one word I wasn't able to use!
ReplyDeleteBeing a bloke, slap and tickle was the first thing that came into my head ;)
DeleteI really enjoyed this
ReplyDeleteThanks Emma :)
DeleteQuick can be fun..and age can augment beauty..maybe..let's hope..
ReplyDeleteWhat was it Woody Allen said about age...? ;)
DeleteI am not sure..but I'm guessing marrying your adopted daughter gives you a unique opinion on it!
DeleteNice morality tale!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you think so...! :)
Deletesmiles... I think we were on the same page, Stan.
ReplyDeleteGreat minds/small things... ;)
DeleteYup...I can relate to this one! I don't know what Woody Allen said about aging. About death he said, "I'm not afraid of death, I just don't want to be there when it happens."
ReplyDeleteshouldn't laugh about it really... but... :)
DeleteAfter I use the words from the list I forget what they are. When someone commented about not using slap I wondered just what list they were talking about. *slap* This weeks!!! I must be getting old. We all like to win sometimes. I agree with Brenda and Woody Allen's quote.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by the short verse the story verse is here:

Nice one Jules, I'll check it out I na bit. :)
DeleteThanks for my morning smile, Stan. Everyone should have a bit of slap and tickle occasionally, just to remind them of being alive,
ReplyDeleteElizabeth
Every now and then... :)
DeleteNicely done!
ReplyDeleteThanks Annell :)
DeleteNothing like a quickie at any age.
ReplyDeleteGreat take on the words.
Nothing like taking a phase of life
and imbuing it with great and urgent meaning.
A lingering thanks for your quickie words,
Randy
In case anyone's wondering what a quickie is... it's £25, just like in town...!
Deletewell, then! : )
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean... I shocked myself with this one... ;)
DeleteChuckles.
ReplyDeleteThanks Barbara :)
Deleteheh heh heh. bingo wings unbalance her! what a hoot.
ReplyDeleteGlad it amused you :)
DeleteThe first sentence and the last resonate. The first as so very true and the last as fun to read. Those two could be a complete poem. Love them.
ReplyDeleteI'm neither young and beautiful, nor (quite) caught in that snare...
DeleteGood to see that us oldies get a bit centre stage. We are just as normal as the rest of you.
ReplyDeleteI'm not as young as I look...! ;)
DeleteThanks for the laugh, Stan. Something I needed today.
ReplyDeletePamela
You're welcome, Pamela :)
DeleteGreat quickie! As far as I know Allen said: “Sex without love is a meaningless experience, but as far as meaningless experiences go it’s pretty damn good. :)
ReplyDeleteWith yo on that one, Veronica :)
DeleteThat was perfect dear- thank you very much. Isn't life grand?
ReplyDeleteInnit...? and getting grander by the day... :)
DeleteTalk about your quickies,Stan! Loved the wings... as much as I work out, I can't shake 'em... actually, I CAN, ha ha. I'm digging getting older, though. My dimples have sprouted new dimples, and my frown lines have shadow lines, like phantoms of depression.
ReplyDeleteHowever this gal is working it out, she's in there pitching, so food for her! Nicely done. Amy

Nice one Amy :)
ReplyDeleteMe thinks there is a bit of wishful thinking here!
ReplyDeleteIt's the kind of thinking I'm pretty good at ;)
DeleteGood to see ya mate!
Descriptive and quite telling. Very well done!
ReplyDeleteCheers Walt :)
DeleteOh, this is great!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tumblewords :)
DeleteWhat everybody else said!
ReplyDeleteThanks Heidi :)
DeleteI just love the tone of this!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sara :)
