WORDSLURRED

For The Sunday Whirl: Steps, Poetry, Virtue, Drunk, Room, Ditch, Bends, Wish, Palace, Breaks, Diminishing, Burden.

LATER THAT SAME EVENING...

Three steps forward, two steps back
Poetry in motion... not!

But patience is a virtue

So bear with my drunk attempt
to make it back to my room

...without falling in a ditch

...and waking up with the bends

But at least I got my wish
when I drank The Palace dry

Breaks my record for boozing

Senses diminishing now...

Am I being a burden...?

  4. Yes, the first line took me to the dance, and the ditch is no place to be...delightful!

  7. Entertaining sorts are never a burden, Stan, and I imagine you keep things lively. It reads like drunk ramblings. Well done.

  9. You make me sort of wish to get a bit tipsy and do some writing, but after thinking of the hangover, I've decided to leave it in your more capable hands. Thanks for the smiles and even a giggle,

  11. Reminds me to eat first before downing Lemonchello - An Italian hard lemonade (more hard without any aid!) - tasty indeed. Drunk or just the pretense? Jesters of the Palace were most notably the wisest of the bunch ;)

Thanks for your visit to both of my wordle pieces. Clink, Clink! And
    Cheers!

  14. Stan, I love that second line, and how you ask us for patience. And how you played with "bear" and "burden".
