It's true..little white shirted robots..apart from art..that was always fun..mainly because it never claimed to be something you'd need later in life..so pictures you remember..adding up..not so much.,
The best days of your life are generally those you remember but do not think so at the time. School was a mixed bag, like the curate's egg "good in parts".
I actually liked most of my K-12 classes. I was in a district that was pretty innovative for its time. College was another matter, though. Great instructors and challenging material were sometimes hard to come by.
Stan, it's true. There are too few engaging, interesting teachers these days. In the States, I believe it's because teachers have been reduced to teaching to the test: Students engorged with information that they will eventually regurgitate on a meaningless standardized test.
