STITCHED UP

For Sunday Whirl: Bound, Within, We, Think, Way, Damaged, Men, Women, Power, Wish, Single, Thread
And Haiku Heights: Witch

TREAT OR TRICK ?

Bound within this spell
could we think of any way
to mend damaged hearts

Could men and women
transfer power from a wish
to a single thread

Or would we deploy
a darker shade of magic
the craft of witches

  1. Nice. I like the title, and have hope for damaged hearts.

  3. Stan, nicely done. The second stanza is hopeful, and the third is unfortunately more likely to occur.

  6. There is both hope and yearning here, Stan, as well as a very good question,

  8. I hope more people will choose the second option rather than the witches craft! Perfect theme with Halloween just around the corner!

  9. Stan I love your minimalistic word use. I'm always in awe of people who can achieve minimalism like this...mainly because I tend to blather on. :) A powerful message conveyed beautifully.

  12. Maybe having hearts broken makes them stronger, as long as the stiches are good and strong.
I like this very much. Leaves nice images in the mind.

  13. Ah but not all the craft of witches leans towards the dark side.
Hope thought the last to be let out of Pandora's box we would like to think is the strongest to overcome all the other 'nasties'.
Nicely penned. For brevity you'll have to visit my short verse site
    http://julesgemstonepages.wordpress.com/
as my story verse tend to be 'wordy'.

    Thanks for your visit. Cheers.
