STILL STANDING

It's been a long time...

LIGHT SOURCE

Under a dark thunder cloud
we both vowed to inherit
a deeper sense of merit
letting us stand together
under the same umbrella
to become joined at the hip
working continuous shifts
to un-make old excuses
renewing childhood truces
... and at last seeing the light..

    I like the compact verse you offer. It reminds me of my reconciliation

    "Renewing childhood truces..." Renewing any truces, with ourselves and others. I need a bigger umbrella or to learn to enjoy the rain. Glad you are still standing- does make me wonder where you have been.
