Your poem puts me in mind of the HMS Bounty, the tall ship that sank off the North Carolina coast during Hurricane Sandy. The crew had to abandon ship as it went down in 18-foot waves. The roiling Atlantic Ocean claimed the captain. Sandy is responsible for so much tragedy and devastation. Liked this very much, Stan.
ReplyDeleteVery creative and skillful use of the wordle words, Stan. Concise story telling with great imagery.

I saw sailing ships, tossed and turned about in an angry sea too.

I live by the sea, and my dad was a commercial fisherman who had some close calls ...... when he arrived home, there really was a 'tumultuous reception;!
